“That was awesome, totally blown away by how great it is!! Thanks so much”. - Emma & Olly

How did you guys meet? And how long have you been together?

Met on Tinder, after we’d both first moved to London back in 2014.

Found out that we’d both grown up near Maidstone in Kent. We had a couple of mutual friends in common, but didn’t know each other.

We have now been together for just over six and a half years.

How did you get engaged? Who proposed to who? Where did you do it? How did you feel?

During a surprise birthday trip to Iceland, luckily just a couple of months before Covid struck – Olly proposed to Emma by the Gulfoss waterfalls after a slightly snowier-than-expected weekend.

What made you choose Hayne House as your wedding venue, did you look at many?

We were both raised in Kent and always wanted a wedding somewhere in the countryside.

Hayne House looked beautiful online from the pictures…but even better in person on a stormy February morning! We looked at a few venues, but it was always our number 1.

What will be the inspiration/theme of your wedding?

Relaxed and fun – everyone needs a good celebration after the past couple of years!

What will be your first song and why?

Jessie Ware – ‘Til the end

We’ve seen her live together in Birmingham and her songs mean a lot to us.

How have you found planning your wedding? Are you a planner? Did you know what you were doing? Did you get help? What has been your biggest stress leading up to the big day?

It turns out planning a wedding during a global pandemic can be a bit of a challenge!

There has been lots of changes and uncertainty but we’re so pleased that we now get to have the day that we always wanted!

We’ve been really lucky to have amazing support from friends and family especially when we made the

decision to change the date.

Wedding planning has been an experience, but we’ll stick to our day jobs!

What would be your number one tip be for other couples planning their wedding?

It’s easy to get overwhelmed in the beginning, but just break it down into chunks and tackle them one by one.

You’ve got more time than you think you have!

The most important thing is that the two of you are happy and have the wedding that you want.
