“That was awesome, totally blown away by how great it is!! Thanks so much”. - Emma & Olly

How did you guys meet? And how long have you been together?

Met on Tinder, after we’d both first moved to London back in 2014.

Found out that we’d both grown up near Maidstone in Kent. We had a couple of mutual friends in common, but didn’t know each other.

We have now been together for just over six and a half years.

How did you get engaged? Who proposed to who? Where did you do it? How did you feel?

During a surprise birthday trip to Iceland, luckily just a couple of months before Covid struck – Olly proposed to Emma by the Gulfoss waterfalls after a slightly snowier-than-expected weekend.

What made you choose Hayne House as your wedding venue, did you look at many?

We were both raised in Kent and always wanted a wedding somewhere in the countryside.

Hayne House looked beautiful online from the pictures…but even better in person on a stormy February morning! We looked at a few venues, but it was always our number 1.

What will be the inspiration/theme of your wedding?

Relaxed and fun – everyone needs a good celebration after the past couple of years!

What will be your first song and why?

Jessie Ware – ‘Til the end

We’ve seen her live together in Birmingham and her songs mean a lot to us.

How have you found planning your wedding? Are you a planner? Did you know what you were doing? Did you get help? What has been your biggest stress leading up to the big day?

It turns out planning a wedding during a global pandemic can be a bit of a challenge!

There has been lots of changes and uncertainty but we’re so pleased that we now get to have the day that we always wanted!

We’ve been really lucky to have amazing support from friends and family especially when we made the

decision to change the date.

Wedding planning has been an experience, but we’ll stick to our day jobs!

What would be your number one tip be for other couples planning their wedding?

It’s easy to get overwhelmed in the beginning, but just break it down into chunks and tackle them one by one.

You’ve got more time than you think you have!

The most important thing is that the two of you are happy and have the wedding that you want.

So, one week ago, I was at an incredible venue, shooting the wedding of Lucy and Rich.

The date was Saturday 15th June 2019 and the Venue was Hayne house, in Hythe.

Currently editing the main film, I would like to show you all a glimpse into the gorgeous wedding day of Lucy and Rich with my one minute teaser film (instafilm).

Hayne House is a family run venue, set in 35 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. Offering exclusive use of their brand-new unique Orangery, former Hunting Pavilion of Edward VIII with it’s five bedrooms, and a quintessential English Cottage garden for your wedding ceremony and wedding reception.

This really was a beautiful venue to film and it definitely had that intimate countryside feel.

What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?

I hate hot weather and love rustic wood and autumn colours. So chose a autumn wedding. The theme came from googling Autumn wedding and choosing the colours. Burnt orange. Olive green, Aubergine. Chocolate brown, mustard burgundy and red.

What is your Entrance music and first song and why?

My entrance music consisted of two songs, somewhere over the rainbow (for my grandad who passed away 5years ago). And Eva Cassidy songbird which i believed sang the words showing how much i love Stephen.

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?

Number 1 tip. Dont have too many bridesmaid's lol and choose who you have with you on the morning of day very carefully , its a stressful morning so you need people around you that will help, keep you calm and not cause you unwanted stress.
